You are here because you have received the news that your child may have Down syndrome. This is often heartbreaking and confusing news to a parent and something that friends and family cannot understand. This is an experience that you share with a large and caring community of families who understand. The information in this packet details the facts about Down syndrome and dispels some of the myths. It also contains information from parents who chose to share their experiences to help others facing the same situation.

We have assembled this information for you because we believe that you deserve to have comprehensive information about Down syndrome. The information comes from a variety of national organizations that are at the forefront of Down syndrome research and advocacy. It will lead you through the joys and concerns that come with having a child who has Down syndrome from the perspectives of parents and professionals alike.

This page contains links to a variety of resources for you.
